West Coast Juniper and our showroom, The StoneWood Gallery maintains a portfolio of expertly crafted juniper log furniture and lumber products for a variety of uses.
If you are looking for lumber or finished products made from juniper, we can supply your needs.
Using renewable, recyclable and sustainable local resources, 90% of all our products are made from Western Juniper. The logs that we use for our products and lumber come from rangeland restoration, watershed restoration or forest improvement logging sites. For years private land owners, BLM, and The US Forest Service have been removing juniper, placing them in piles and burning (not good for the environment). Through our efforts we are now recovery those logs and turning them into the useful products that we sell.
We are basically harvesting the logs before they arrive or removing the logs from these "trash piles" and recycling them.So we consider the juniper products we sell as being manufactured from Recycled Materials! (very good for the environment)
The Western Juniper used in our products is a recycled resource, harvested from Northern California through Eastern Oregon's high desert country and into Idaho and Nevada, with minimal impact on the forest ecosystem.
Harvesting of juniper timber is beneficial in encouraging regrowth of pine seedlings and saplings in these forests that have been devastated of their old growth for commercial uses.
A mature juniper tree uses up to 100 gallons of water per day. By removing the overgrowth of this species we are improving the local watersheds. Responsible forest management means balancing water quality, wildlife issues, recreation, timber, and forest health.
We have several manufacturing facilities that we work with, including our own to bring you the products we produce.
Each of our products are manufactured with the highest of quality standards.
We are Located in the beautiful Upper Klamath Basin of Oregon, our showroom,The StoneWood Gallery, features work by approx. 30 local artisans.
We strive to work with a sustainable approach in all that we do.
